Staff Spotlight: Simon Farthing – Product Design Engineer

In the spirit of growth and continuous improvement, we would like to introduce one of the latest additions to the AH Garner team.

Simon Farthing, our Product Design Engineer, joined us in September 2017. With a degree in Product Design from Nottingham Trent University and a strong design background, Simon brings a considerable amount of knowledge and energy to the table.

Before joining AH Garner, Simon was involved with a materials handling business where he designed a range of conveyor systems. Simon currently focuses his efforts on designing new products and improving existing lines, using his skills with the Solidworks and Draftsight software packages to produce the most effective designs possible.

He also designs equipment to help the production team’s day-to-day operations on the factory floor to ensure that jobs are completed smoothly, stock is stored securely, and improving health & safety standards.

In his spare time, Simon enjoys various active pursuits including weightlifting. He is also engaged to be married next January!
